Caribbean-Atlantic Deepwater Snapper-Grouper

SEDAR 4 was charged with developing stock assessments for deepwater snapper-grouper species in the South Atlantic and Caribbean. Based on the available data, the data workshop panel recommended moving forward with analytical assessments for snowy grouper and tilefish in the South Atlantic. The data workshop reports, however, include compilations of data for all species initially considered. The Data Workshop convened November 3 - 7, 2003 in Charleston, SC; the Assessment Workshop convened June 7 - 11, 2004 in Beaufort, NC; the Review Workshop convened July 26 - 30, 2004 in Charlotte, NC. *** NOTE: SEDAR Working papers document the methods, datasets, and preliminary analyses that are under consideration and therefore do not necessarily represent final consensus opinions of workshop participants.
