Chemical Hygiene Plan (29 CFR 1910.1450)
The Occupational Safety &
Health Administration requires affected employers to implement a Chemical
Hygiene Plan (CHP) to convey chemical health and safety information to laboratory employees working with hazardous materials. The standard's intent is to ensure that employees are apprised of the hazards of chemicals in their work area and that appropriate practices, procedures and controls are in place to protect them from associated health and safety hazards. This CHP is designed to be a living document and will be revised as necessary to reflect changing laboratory practices. |
